I’m being a night owl for exactly the same reason — except for the mortgage part. It seems that my daytime does not belong to myself in a sense, so the best way to make up is to capitalize on the nighttime. I often tell myself to husband my strength and not to be sleep-deprived. Now it is 1:30 am. I nevertheless assume the night is still young.
