Apple Pay (iOS 11.3) supports transit cards for Beijing and Shanghai. Face ID is NOT needed. A refundable deposit of ¥20 is needed in addition to a maximum amount of ¥1,000. Balance can be transferred from an existing card. Have checked out the official website: Apple Pay is eligible for monthly discounts. Note: Only debit cards can add money to it; credit cards are not supported.
